Not going to spend too much time on this. I thought Ellen did a good job. Her performance was subdued, and not too over the top (thank you for omitting the dance routine--Billy Crystal killed that for another 75 years). Will Farrell and Jack Black killed (and Will has a surprisingly good singing voice), and congrats to Al Gore (someone else was nominated for best Doc?), Forrest Whitaker, Jennifer Hudson, and of course Martin (or as Eastwood calls him, Marty) Scorsese for best director, an award he was way overdue for, made even better by having his contemporaries present him with the Oscar.
All in all, it was a pretty good show.
