I suppose a little justice is better than no justice...

Yesterday, Jack Abramoff, friend to both Native Americans and Texas GOP members was sentenced to 5 years and 10 months for various corruption crimes. Like many, I doubt that he'll do much of his time in prison (and certainly not time in an Oz-type pen like he deserves), but he has been ordered to pay back 21 million in restitution, and let's face it, for guys like this, the wallet is really where it hurts. I still think we should make a new law, call it the Abramoff clause, that makes it a capital offense to bilk Native American tribes. After everything done to them they should be more hands off than OJ Simpson's career. What a snake.
