Just took a look through Thomas at the status of Feingold's Censure motion. So far the only co-sponsors are Senators Boxer (CA) and Harkin (IA), and the last action was on 3/13 when it was referred to the Judiciary committee.

"Whereas the President's inherent constitutional authority does not give him the power to violate the explicit statutory prohibition on warrantless wiretaps in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978;
Whereas George W. Bush, President of the United States, has authorized and continues to authorize wiretaps by the National Security Agency of Americans within the United States without obtaining the court orders required by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978;"

Do you think censure is the worst he'll get?
There's a difference between what a person deserves to get and what they will get. Personally, I think it might only be a shot in a dark that he'll get censure...everything depends on whether the Dems win in the Fall, and then it depends if they grow backbones or not, and if Hillary if the frontrunner in the election (punishing Bush doesn't seem to be on her agenda). But if Feingold's grassroots movement catches on, and the Dems win...there might be a chance that it could go all the way to impeachment, but, in a weird Catch-22, it all depends on how the war goes. Regardless of party lines, no one wants to disipline a President during a war, regardless if the President doesn't consider it a war or not.
Seeing as how Buch is going to keep this war going until well into the next decade. What do you thnk are the chances of an impeachment, or some kind of trial?
