Above is an article by Glenn Reynolds for TCS Daily, reporting on a German product that was making its users sick. The company claimed that the product, a toilet bowl cleanser, used nanotechnology, however it turned out that it actually didn't contain any nanochemicals at all. He's worried about the effect this might have on the industry and so do I. The cutting edge stuff, like nanos and stem cells must be treated with a careful hand, especially in this age of anti-intellectualism, when all it takes are a few fears, heightened by political paranoia, to halt important R&D.
