It's only the second inning...

Am I surprised that Bilbray beat Busby? Not really. Dissappointed? Sure. But considering that the turf they fought on was "ruby-red," and Busby's verbal slip-up a couple of days ago, I can't say that any one should be shocked. Bilbray ran on his own platform of fear (of the other terrorists, Illegal Immigrants) and even with a growing Latino population whites still have the majority, and show that they aren't willing yet to give that up. It's a program that works well out there, but I don't see how it will work on a national level. Anyway, come November Busby and the Democrats have another chance at the seat so hope isn't lost...
